Who we are

This website is run by Y.Scents, an online store selling fragrance decants in India. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Y.Scents. We handle personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

Order details: your name, phone number, email address, billing and shipping address, and what you ordered.
Messages: your name, email address and message when you use our contact form.
Account details: if you create an account, your login details and order history.
Technical data: cookies (see below) and basic server logs, such as IP address and browser type, kept by our hosting provider for security.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address only to send you news and offers from Y.Scents. You can ask us to remove you at any time through our Contact page.

How we use it

To process, deliver and support your orders.
To reply to your messages.
To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We use your data only for these purposes and we do not sell it.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment providers: WooPayments (powered by Stripe), Razorpay and Paytm. Your card and bank details go directly to them; we never see or store your full card details.

Courier partners, to deliver your order.
Payment providers, to process payment.
Our hosting provider, Hostinger, which stores the website and its data.

Cookies

Necessary cookies keep your cart and checkout working. Other cookies are used only if you allow them in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil orders and meet legal and tax requirements. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw your consent, or nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. To make a request or raise a grievance, use our Contact page. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
